The 5th grade GT students from Underwood participated in the Texas Tech GEAR robotics divisional competition at the Carver Center in Midland. The students have only been working on coding and the Lego Spike Prime robotic components a few months, but they held their own in a field of 40 teams. One Underwood team (and their uniquely designed bot "Dizzy") took 2nd place overall! What a fabulous experience and a great way to learn teamwork and problem solving!
